Use a high-speed milk frother or blender — we leave out emulsifiers, so it doesn't dissolve as smoothly in a shaker bottle with water as most protein powders. That's a deliberate trade-off: we'd rather skip the emulsifiers than add ingredients we don't trust. Vanilla and Snickerdoodle also work well in a shaker with milk. Chocolate works best in a blender or frother because cacao powder is naturally hydrophobic — it resists dissolving in liquid. We use non-alkalized cacao because it retains significantly more antioxidants than Dutch-processed, but it needs a bit more mixing power. For smoothies, adding a fat source like nut butter or avocado with frozen fruit gives a thick, smooth consistency.

How is this sweetened with dates but has 0g added sugar?
Organic dates are the sweetener, but because dates are a whole food — not a refined sugar or extract — FDA labeling guidelines classify the sugars as naturally occurring rather than added. You get real sweetness from a real food, along with the potassium, fiber, magnesium, and iron that come with it. No stevia, no sucralose, no monk fruit, no artificial sweeteners of any kind.
What type of whey does TIDLØS use?
Non-denatured grass-fed whey protein concentrate (WPC80) sourced from New Zealand pasture-raised cattle with year-round pasture access and a diet verified annually at over 95% grass-fed. New Zealand bans growth hormones in dairy cattle. We use concentrate rather than isolate because isolate processing strips out bioactive proteins — immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, glycomacropeptides — that support immune function and gut health. Our whey is low-heat processed to preserve those bioactives, and it's produced directly from milk rather than as a byproduct of cheese manufacturing.
What third-party testing does TIDLØS protein powder undergo?
Every lot is third-party tested for microbial contaminants (E. coli, Salmonella, yeast, mold) and the top four heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury). I love the vanilla shake so much! I usually add a banana to thicken it and it's just delicious. I am sensitive to fake sugars-not just the taste but I often get headaches from them. So, for me Tidlos shakes with only 3 simple, natural ingredients is really important to me.
